I could have done without the entitlement to a ‘hot assistant’ that comes with a big office, but good read otherwise.

Yeah, I’m with you on that. But I have to confess: before I knew it was a “Dan” and not a “Danielle” who was writing the post, I was actually imagining the “hot assistant” was male
