The Intersectional Feminist, a new column by Allison McCarthy, will be featured on GirlwPen during the second Monday of each month.
Allison McCarthy is a freelance writer covering topics on social justice, anti-racism, and feminisms. Her short fiction and journalism have been featured in magazines such as Girlistic, Global Comment, ColorsNW, The Baltimore Review, The Write Side-Up, Scribble, JMWW and Dark Sky, as well as in the anthology Robot Hearts: Twisted and True Tales of Seeking Love in the Digital Age (Pinchback Press, 2010) which is available through both Amazon and local independent bookstores. She is currently a graduate student in the Master of Professional Writing program at Chatham University and resides in the greater Washington, DC area.
